"Atelier Neo Medici" in France, teaches Professor Gregory Pelizzari a Renaissance Painting Technique for Contemporary Artists, called the "Technique Mixte", which employs a tempera underpainting over which oil colors are glazed, to achieve a profoudly intricate level of detail and greater luminosity of color than oil paint alone can produce.
