Rwanda Wildlife Safari ~ 6 Days ~ All primates in Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival

You will arrive at Kigali International Airport; you will meet the guide who will transfer you to the Hotel where you will have dinner and overnight. Overnight at East African Villas - BB

Day 2: Game viewing Safari (Akagera Park)

Early breakfast then transfer to Akagera National Park for an early morning game drive where you have chance to see animals like Butchell’s Zebra, lions, elephants, topi etc and over 525 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis, goliath heron etc. In the afternoon, you will drive to Kigali and arrive in time for dinner. Overnight at East African Villas.

Day 3: Drive to Nyungwe Forest

Early morning after breakfast you will drive to Nyungwe National park. You will have lunch en-route or get to your place of accommodation in time for lunch. Check in at Gisakura Guest House and then go for an afternoon primate walk in the forest. You may have chance to see the colubus monkeys and birds including the Rwenzori turaco. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking safari

Early morning before breakfast at around 4:00 am, then enter Nyungwe forest and search for Chimpanzees. You will have chance to see some of the apes that are close relatives to man, see how they feed and play with each other and then return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon, drive to Musanze and do a short tour of the markets etc. Dinner and overnight at St. Anne hotel - (FB) or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB) for high-end clients who pay extra for accommodation.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking (Safari Volcanoes NP)

Wake up early morning and drive to the park headquarters for an encounter with the gorillas. En route you will be able to see the pyrethrum plantations and on arrival at Musanze, the guide will brief you and then proceed to the home of the rare mountain gorillas. You will take a hike up through the bamboo forest and spend a magical hour in the company of the gorillas and then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Kigali. Dinner and Overnight at Golf Hills Residence hotel

Day 6: Kigali City tour

following breakfast, you will have a city tour. Visit the city and curio markets, and then have lunch. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the airport and catch your flight back home.

End of Tour
