Day 1 – Bujumbura
Arrive in Bujumbura and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight. Overnight Hotel Botanika or similar.
Day 2 – Bujumbura
After breakfast visit of Buyenzi muslim city with its different activities mecanics,local general goods market, Living museum to see different crocodiles of Nile and other reptiles, the mausoleum of Prince Louis Rwagasore, a hero of the independence of Burundi. We then climb to the ‘Belvedere’ on the top of the hill, a dominating point of Bujumbura, offering a unique view over Bujumbura and the Lake Tanganyika. After lunch, drive ten kilometres south to visit ‘La Pierre de Stanley et Livingstone’, reputedly the site where the famous Dr David Livingstone and explorer Henry Stanley first met. Overnight Hotel Botanika or similar. (BLD)
Day 3 – Karera Falls – Gitega
After an early breakfast drive south east thru Ijenda where tourists will admire wonderful tea plantations along the road RN7 .visit of the “Source of Nile”, then ‘Chutes de la Karera’, an impressive set of waterfalls locally renowned for having healing powers. Afterwards drive to the town of Gitega; Lunch and visit the National Museum with its collection of artefacts, Gitega city administrative offices,Catholic Location of Mushasha and its different schools, Dinner & overnight at Tamotel or Helena Hotel (BLD).
 Day 4: Gishora drum sanctuary –Birds lakes
After breakfast,we drive 7 km from Gitega city center to Gishora Village.The site recreates an architectural complex of Royal palace and drum sanctuary, rarely found elsewhere in the country. Get there a lot of information will be provided by Mr Antime who has travelled a lot of countries across the world exhibiting the image of Burundi with his drum. Drummers’ performance at the site.
After Gishora ,drive to the North of Burundi for birds lakes visit, On the road leading to Birds Lakes, we will stop not far from Bugarama to see splendid tea plantations and coffee on our way to Ngozi. Lunch at Ngozi and Overnight (BLD).
Day 5: Birds lakes - Kirundo
After breakfast drive to Kirundo a region of extensive depressions dotted with many lakes and abounding in bird life.It is an area of great scenic beauty where the visitor may discover, by canoe, such lakes as Cohoha, the bird Lake, renowed for its ornithological reserve; and other lakes like Kacamirinda and Kanzigiri. Lunch at Kirundo and drive to Bujumbura for overnight at Hotel Botanika or similar (BLD).
Day 6 – Kigwena national reserve & Local fishermen of Mvugo
Morning drive to Kigwena National Reserve for a walk in the forest to search for its flora and fauna which includes chimpanzees and monkeys including the owl faced monkeys and baboons,visit of the local villages of fishermen ,palm trees plantations ... Overnight at Saga Nyanza resort . (BLD)
Day 7: Gombe stream national park-Tanzania.
After breakfast, we take a boat ahead to Gombe Stream. Arrival afternoon, Camping (BLD) in the park.
Day 8: Full day in Gombe stream
It's a great place to see chimps up close and personal as many of the family groups are habituated to humans.Camping (BLD) in the park.
Day 9:
After breakfast, we take a boat back to boarder and head to Resha Imperial Resort at Rumonge a nice beach for relax and lunch. Afteroon drive back to Bujumbura and overnight at Hotel Botanika or similar (BLD).
 Day 10: Hot springs of Ruhwa –Cibitoke local beer
Our tour will take us then to Cibitoke where we might be able to meet the local people producing that beer.
Beside banana beer exploration tour, we will have things to see around, like:
- Visit of German tombs killed in 1st World War.
- The artificial lake DOGODOGO. It’s so called due to its progressive autoformation.
- Ruhwa Hotsprings located at the border of 3 countries Burundi/Rwanda& DRC.
Lunch at Cibitoke center and drive back to Bujumbura for overnight at Hotel Botanika or similar (BLD)
Day 11 – Explore the Lake Tanganyika and Rusizi National Park
After breakfast we visit Rusizi national park where a possible boat tour in Rusizi river can let you explore closer the hippo , numerous birds and the joining point between Rusizi River and Lake Tanganyika. (BLD)
Day 12: Full day of beach relaxation
Relax at beach of the Lake Tanganyika at Bora Bora Lounge, enjoying its swimming pool, lunch and shopping in the city, souvenirs and handcrafts … Overnight at Hotel Botanika or similar (BLD)
Day 13: Transfer to Bujumbura international airport.
