Shandong Oriental Ocean Sci-Tech Co., Ltd., founded in 2001, is a holding subsidiary of Shandong Oriental Ocean Group Co., Ltd. It is mainly engaged in aquatic product seed breeding, cultivation, food processing and bond warehousing.

As the company attaches much importance to the standardization production and management, it has passed the EU sanitary registration, HACCP certification, ISO9001 Quality Management System Certification, OHSMS18001 certification, BRC certification, IFS certification, ETI certification, GMP certification; its main products have passed the cognizance of the pollution-free agriculture products location and pollution-free agriculture products certification; the turbot farm has passed the ChinaGAP certification; the bonded storage area has gained the certification of Class 4A storage and logistics; its sea cucumber products is permitted to use the special signs of geographical indication products on Yantai sea cucumbers.

It has also built the demonstration base for marine science and technology, together with Institute of Oceanology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ludong University and some others. In recent 5 years, it has undertaken 11 research projects funded by central government, gained 13 national patents, won 5 prizes above the provincial or ministerial levels. In 2007, it was admitted as the National Marine Algae Engineering Research Center by Science & Technology Ministry of China.
